Sustainable Funding Workshops for Ethnic Communities

Ethnic AffairsThe Office of Ethnic Communities, is running a funding workshop in Wellington on 23 September in conjunction with Philanthropy New Zealand. The workshop is designed to support community organisations to complete robust targeted funding applications and strengthen their understanding of the not-for-profit funding sector. The workshop is free of charge and places are available on a first come first served basis.

The workshop will cover:

Sustainable funding models for NGOs/com groups
The Philanthropic landscape in New Zealand
Decision making that informs philanthropic investment in community organisations
Finding and approaching appropriate funding partners
Key components of writing a solid funding proposal
Understanding the Settling In, Lottery Grant, COGS funding and other local funding that is available for Community Organisations.

Who should come?

Organisations seeking grants for refugee and migrant settlement eg: Settling In, Lottery Grant and COGS
Not-for-profit organisations that work directly with the refugee and migrant communities
Community Organisations working directly with ethnic communities.
